Haldi Ceremony

Ganesh Pooja is a ceremony invoking Lord Ganesh, the remover of obstacles, for good luck and to ensure a smooth wedding. The Haldi ceremony involves applying a paste of turmeric (haldi) and other ingredients on the bride and groom's bodies, symbolizing purification, and is a joyous celebration. It will be followed by a lunch and dancing.

Dress Code: Indian or western casual colorful clothing (yellow, orange, red colors are ideal)
Sangeet
Friday October 10th
6pm-10pm
Welcome party with good food, dance performances and a henna artist

Baraat
and
Wedding
Saturday October 11th
Baraat at Noon to Ceremony at 1pm
Baraat is the groom's procession (maybe on a horse) to the wedding venue accompanied by friends and family from both sides with music and dancing
